Dan Schreiber

Dan Schreiber is a man of many talents, he is a writer, producer, presenter and most notably a funny man. Dan was brought up in Hong Kong and Australia before moving to England, where at just 19 he became a question writer for the BBC TV series QI and has since jumped straight into a career with the cream of British entertainment.

Dan is the co-creator and producer of BBC Radio 4’s highly successful ‘The Museum of Curiosity’, which started in 2008 and has now just completed its 4thseries. Hosted by Blackadder producer John Lloyd, the show has also seen Bill Bailey, Sean Lock and Jon Richardson as guest hosts. The Radio Times review stated that: “It will make you laugh as much as it will make you think. Pornography for the brain!”

Allied with his sharp wit, his encyclopaedic knowledge of facts gained during his QI days, neatly combined with his observational style humour, makes for an exceptional new kind of television personality and with a number of show ideas in development with various producers, 2012 is set to be an exciting time for Dan.

Over the past year, Dan has also begun to conquer the stand-up circuit and will be performing at Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival and both Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe this year. Like a duck to water, Dan has rapidly progressed, honing his unique style of observational humour and random hilarious facts. He has performed at comedy clubs such as Glee, Outside The Box and Crack Comedy and has even supported ‘FolkFace’ on their UK tour, the comedy folk band formed by Dave and Dom from Chris Moyle’s Radio1 breakfast show. Chortle described him as “smart on stage, with a penchant for quirky true stories - he has funny bones, and an engagingly upbeat delivery in which to package his borderline nerdy concerns.”

Dan’s extensive repertoire of behind the scenes credits, include heading up Warner Music Entertainment’s comedy arm, executive producing a short Christmas movie entitled ‘A Kitten for Hitler’ with cult director Ken Russell, being a joke collector for Jimmy Carr’s book ‘The Naked Jape’, producing a comedy animation project with Paul McCartney, creating an RDF/Channel Dave pilot starring astronaut Buzz Aldrin, executive producing on ‘Imagine That!’,the internationally bestselling stand-up DVD starring Rhys Darby in which Dan also produced the extras and had a cameo in the show; Sharon Horgan reviewed one of Rhys’ and Dan’s collaborations as “the funniest thing I've ever seen”.... the list goes on.

Since joining John Noel Management Dan Schreiber has spent time in New York as a drag queen called Dan-O-Mite, been filmed being spanked, chained up and yelled at by a German Dominatrix and found himself very stupidly agreeing to a project that may see him living in a muddy yurt in outer Mongolia milking yaks for the rest of his 20’s.. and that’s just his social life. Dan Schreiber is fast becoming the one to watch.
